Nov. 2 Registration Deadline Quickly Approaching for Virtual Learning Academy Charter High School Free to Students Who Live in NH; Limited Openings for College-Prep, Honors and AP Courses
New Hampshire high school students have only two weeks to enroll in College Prep, Honors and AP courses offered by NH’s first statewide on-line high school, the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School. Registration for the Academy’s January 2008 semester ends Friday, November 2. The Virtual Learning Academy is an approved New Hampshire public school and is tuition free to high school students who live in New Hampshire. Students may view the course catalog and register at www.vlacs.org.
Limited courses openings are available for the January 2008 semester. Students may choose from 26 courses to supplement or complement their existing curriculum. Courses selections include: Computer Programming-Basic I; Spanish I and II; English I thru IV; Algebra 1a, 1b, I; AP Calculus AB; Geometry; Pre-Calculus; Personal Fitness; AP Biology; Biology; Earth Science; Marine Science; Physics; American Government; American History; AP Microeconomics; AP Macroeconomics; Economics; World History; and SAT Prep. Honors-level courses are available for most of these classes.
