Registering for a course at the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School is a multi-step process.
- After you have reviewed the course catalog and have decided which course, or courses, you would like to take, proceed to step 2. Note: Part-time students can be active in no more than four classes at one time and may not take more than six credits between July 1st and June 30th of any year.
- Go to the VLACS GeniusSIS system and create a student account and select your course(s). Click here for instructions.
- After you have completed step 2, have your parent/guardian return to the VLACS registration system and login with their guardian account to approve the course. Permission from your parent/guardian is required before you can be enrolled in a VLACS course.
- NH charter school law requires that we conduct a lottery to select students if the number of qualified applications exceeds our enrollment caps. We will notify all students of their status by e-mail and/or U.S. mail if a lottery becomes necessary.
- Upon enrollment in a VLACS course, both students and their parents/guardians will be asked to review a number of VLACS policies (academic integrity, course drop/add, technical requirements, etc.) and signify that they have reviewed the policies.
- Prior to starting any VLACS course, the student and at least one parent/guardian must participate in an introductory phone call with the teacher to review the requirements of the course and answer questions about the course.
