ADMISSIONS FOR PART-TIME OUT-OF-STATE STUDENTS
Registering for a course at the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School is a multi-step process.
- After you have reviewed the course catalog and have decided which course, or courses, you would like to take, proceed to step 2. Note: We are admitting part-time students in January, 2008. Therefore, students are limited to enrolling in four VLACS courses. Beginning in September, 2008 we will admit full-time students.
- Go to the VLACS Virtual School Administrator system and create a student account and select your course(s).
- After you have completed step 2, have your parent/guardian return to the VLACS registration system and create a guardian account. Permission from your parent/guardian is required before you can be enrolled in a VLACS course. The link to create a guardian account is available in the menu on the left side of the Virtual School Administrator system home page. You can click here to access the Guardian Account link directly.
- The Virtual Learning Academy Charter School must give preference to New Hampshire students. We will place out-of-state students in classes if space is availalbe. Out-of-state students will be charged a non-refundable registration fee of $30 and tuition will be charged at the rate of $750 per credit for regular courses and $800 per credit for Advanced Placement courses. Students will not be activated until payment has been received. Checks can be mailed to:

- Upon notification of enrollment in a VLACS course, both students and their parents/guardians will be asked to review a number of VLACS policies (academic integrity, course drop/add, technical requirements, etc.) and signify that they have reviewed the policies.
- Prior to starting any VLACS course, the student and at least one parent/guardian must participate in an introductory phone call with the teacher. During this phone call the teacher will review the requirements of the course and answer questions about the course. During this phone call students can request that they would like to receive honors credit for the course in which the are enrolled, if available. The teacher will also ask the student to select the pace at which she/he would like to to progress throgh the course -- accelerated, traditional, or extended.
